The National Chairman of the party, Chief Ralph Nwosu, called out the emir to contest for 2019 presidential election using ADC’s platform in a interview he granted The Guardian where he said the President Muhammadu Buhari led-administration was bereft of ideas that could move the country forward, adding that the ongoing prosecution of Sanusi by the Kano State Government is aimed at silencing the outspoken emir.

“Sanusi has been very forthright in pointing out the ills within the government and systems across the nation. He has shown courage in a very thoughtful manner and has also refused to be intimidated.

“The government seems to be after him and you can see the shenanigan currently going on in Kano. People like Sanusi are critical to the Nigeria Project, ADC would approach the Emir to contest the presidency in 2019 no matter the outcome of the present brinkmanship within the corridors of power. For a greater Nigeria, we need men with knowledge and courage like the Emir. Nwosu told the paper.
