Recall that Mrs. Obasanjo after her application seeking the postponement of the wedding before a Lagos High Court was struck out threatened to stage a protest at the wedding venues saying, “I am not going into the ceremony. I am going to place people on the sidewalk. I am going to have a demonstration… I will be on the road to sing and dance to praise the Almighty God. We are going to have drummers, we are going to have people there with me and we will be carrying placards.”

But the wedding took place yesterday without Mrs. Obasanjo(pictured above with Obj during the wedding introduction) carrying out her threat saying in an interview that she was prevailed on.

She said, “Everyone called me across the nation even from outside the country. Important people, men of God called me to drop the protest.”

In attendance at the wedding were; Alh. Lateef Jakande, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Aliko Dangote, former Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, former Ogun State Governor Gbenga Daniel, Chief Olabode George, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, and Oba of Lagos Oba Rilwanu Akiolu among others.
