Three policemen attached to Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa have been killed.

The victims: Inspectors Lucky Aleh, Celestine Nwadiokwu and Jude Obuh, were in the Explosive Ordinance Device, EoD Unit in the Delta State Police Command, Asaba, from where they were seconded to the State Government House, Asaba.

They met their ends in the hands of gunmen while in the advance team of Gov. Okowa, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP vice presidential candidate to Abia State for the party rally on Friday.

Their killers, report said, shot at them at around 1.30pm at Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State and set their vehicle ablaze.

“They were four in the vehicle but the victims were all in police uniform, with the assailants sparing their colleague, who was in mufti,” sources narrated.
