A student of the Ekiti State University Ado Ekiti (EKSU) identified as Bukola Odeyemi, is said to have stabbed her boyfriend, John Iju, also an undergraduate of the school to death.

Quarrel broke out between the pair at Treasure Base Hostel at Iworoko Ekiti, Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area of Ekiti State after Bukola asked John to give her N2,500 to plait her hair.

The deceased was said not to have acceded to the demand culminating in a fisticuffs in which he had an upper hand.

In her bid to turn the table, 20 year-old Odeyemi, went for a knife and stabbed her 22-year-old boyfriend in the chest with blood gushing from the spot.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Ekiti State Command, DSP Caleb Ikechukwu confirmed the incident and the suspect’s arrest adding that she will be charged to court as soon as the police conclude its findings.
