A woman abducted from Mando in Kaduna in July while being heavily pregnant has been delivered of a child in captivity.
The victim was on a visit to her ailing mother’s place on the day bandits stormed the residence, and abducted her alongside two of her sisters.
On August 2, the now nursing mother put to bed in dangerous circumstances without any medical attention at the kidnappers’ den.
Her abductors who have been demanding for N50m in ransom from her family are in the habit of beating her, according to the victim’s husband, Mohammed Alabi in an interview he granted Daily Trust.
Alabi’s word, “My wife gave birth at the kidnappers’ camp on 2nd August, 2022 and since then, both mother and child have not received any medical care and to make matter worse, we learnt they were being maltreated and flogged. We are all dying emotionally and physically, that is why we are appealing to whoever God will use to secure their release to please help us free them.”
