Attempt by Rachael Bakam to dismiss reports making the rounds that she is in a sizzling romance with former footballer, John Fashanu, may have given currency to the rumour.

The Kaduna-born actress, who lost her father at age 12, and started working at age 16, in a recent interview said the she came out to clear the air on her alleged romance with Fashanu following concern by her family that she got married behind their back.
Bakam said, “My family are worried that I got married without informing them. But it is not so, For now, John and i are good friend. However, It doesn’t mean that in the future, John and I cannot get married if we decide and if it’s God’s will.”
