Kaduna crash: Newly-wed, groom also killed

In the ill-fated Beachcraft 350 aircraft that crashed at Kaduna International Airport on Friday killing the Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru along with 10 others included a newly-wed, an Air Force pilot, Flt Lt Alfred Ayodeji Olufade and another, Flt Lt Taiwo Olufemi Asaniyi, who was about to be married and had met his future in-laws.

Late Asaniyi was the pilot of the ill-fated aircraft. He was said to have had his marriage introduction in March, according to the tweet by one @_victor_kings, who said he was billed to be the deceased’s best man during his wedding.

The tweet: “Flight lieutenant T.O Asaniyi. He flew the plane, we had his introduction in March. I was going to be his best man.”

Olufade, the co-pilot died about two months into his marriage, as per one @Sir_KB and @ OvieNews, who respectively tweeted,  “My heart is in pain. I lost my friend. Flight Lt. AA Olufade. He got hitched months back and often teased me to get out of the bachelorhood. Rest well Freddy.”

“Rest in Peace Alfred. Flight Lt. AA Olufade just married two months ago. Our Heroes.”

The late Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Attahiru was appointed by President Muhmmadu Buhari 115 days ago.
