2019: Gov. Amosun reveals the only person he fears

Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun said he was not fearful of the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, and other elements opposed to his bid to ensure the governorship candidate of the Allied People’s Movement, Abdulkabir Akinlade, succeeds him.

Amosun stated this on Friday against the backdrop of the dissolution of the executive body of the APC in the state loyal to him by the party National Working Committee and its place the setting up of a caretaker committee headed by Chief Yemi Sanusi.

While condemning NWC’s action, the governor said, he was not moved by it hinting that only God and President Muhammadu Buhari were capable of derailing his move to have Akinlade as his successor.

His word, “We don’t fear them. All of them put together, we don’t fear anybody. We fear God and we fear President Muhammadu Buhari.

“We have decided to let them be for the sake of President Buhari. If not for the President, we know what to do.

“Just ignore them. Don’t engage them for anything. Let us be focussed and redouble our efforts so that in the coming election, we are going to answer them with our votes.”
