Anambra: Gunmen attack DSS vehicle, Teaching Hospital, kill 2

A reign of terror on Sunday afternoon enveloped Nnewi area of Anambra State.

Gunmen in four Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) took to areas in the industrial city searching for their next victims. At the end, they left two persons dead.

The killers also torched a vehicle belonging to the Department of State Service (DSS).

Report said one of their port of call is the Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital NAUTH Nnewi where they opened fire and injured one person.

Others include the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC office where staff took to their heels to escape being hit by their gunshots.

It was said that a man who attempted to record them with his phone camera was shot dead while another suffered the same fate at Traffic junction area of the town.

Sources added that the gunmen exchanged pleasantries with vendors and newspaper free readers at the roundabout area of the town.
