APC suspends Govs Amosun, Okorocha

The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday gave Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun and his Imo State colleague, the boot, expelling them from the party.

The expulsion followed the duo’s refusal to support the party’s governorship candidates in their respective states.

Prince Dapo Abiodun, the party governorship candidate in Ogun does not enjoy the support of Amosun, who has openly thrown his weight behind the candidate of Allied Peoples Movement, Adekunle Akinlade.

Same with Okorocha, who is believed to be an immutable enemy of Senator Hope Uzodinma, the party governorship candidate. The governor has not hidden his preference for his son in-law, Uche Nwosu, Action Alliance candidate to succeed him.
