After several months of horse-trading, shrewd bargaining and electoral pacts, former presidential candidate of Action Congress of Nigeria. Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has dumped All Progressives Congress and joined the Peoples Democratic Party.

The ex-chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) has had a strained relationship with the leadership of Action Congress, which is currently part of the All Progressive Congress ever since he lost the presidential election in 2011.

That he lost election in South-west. the political base of AC whereas the party’s governorship candidates won theirs in the Geo-political zone was said to have been construed as a remarkably foul play by many political watchers.

Then, there was an unconfirmed rumour that the leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu got a whopping sum of N30bn as bribe from President Goodluck Jonathan to deliver states in South-west for him on the eve of the election.

Fast forward to now, it was gathered that Ribadu’s siblings registered for him at his Makama Ward in Yola South and sent the registration card to him in Abuja to enable him pick the PDP governorship form for the Adamawa State governorship election.
