House of Representatives member and Labour Party Governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Hon. Michael Opeyemi Bamidele has expressed shock and sadness over the killing of Mr. Sesan Ogunro (bottom right) in Lagos by suspected armed robbers.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Ahmed Salami, the lawmaker who rued the unfortunate incident, prayed for the repose of the soul of the former Managing Director of giant advertising firm, Eminent Communications Limited.
Bamidele described the deceased as a distinguished Ekiti son and prayed to God to give the people of Ekiti and the family the strength and the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The statement reads in part: “It came to me as a rude shock and am deeply pained and sorrowed at this sad news. I am very worried that such a vibrant and ebullient man could be cut down in his prime.
“The Federal Government should do everything possible to safeguard the lives and property of its people at all times. The current security situation whereby innocent, hardworking Nigerians are being felled by bullets calls for concern and should be urgently addressed.
“I commiserate with the government and good people of Ekiti State over this painful loss of our kinsman and pray God to console and comfort the families he has left behind. “
