Bandits bury 36 victims alive in Plateau community – Report


No fewer than 36 persons in Yelwan Zangam community in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State were reportedly burnt to death allegedly by Fulani bandits.

According to The Sun, the dastardly act was perpetrated in the early hours of Wednesday when members of the community were in their sleep allegedly killing not less than 36 persons including women and children.

The publication said the assailants set houses ablaze including their victims who were burnt beyond recognition.

“We have recovered 36 corpses of people who were killed by the Fulani, most of the corpses were burnt beyond recognition,” it quoted one David Zaion, a member of the community as saying.
