Bandits Seize Police Officers’ phones In Zamfara station

Some bandits stormed the police station in Magami area of Gusau, the Zamfara State capital leaving the police officers on duty without phones. 

Magami is ravaged by incessant banditry culminating in residents fleeing the community.  

The bandits on Thursday attacked the police outpost at around 3.40pm aiming to set free one of them believed to be in detention in the cell, according to Daily Trust, citing a source acquainted with the incident.   

Quoting a local journalist, the publication wrote, “Bandits attack Magami Divisional police station under Gusau LGA of Zamfara State, snatch phones and other valuables belonging to the police on duty, they also fired warning shots and escaped. The incident happened today around 3:40pm.”
