The Chairman of the House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Mr Benjamin Kalu, said the National Assembly has become an unsafe place facing insecurity challenges.
Kalu, representing Bende Federal Constituency of Abia State, stated this on Tuesday while revealing that his office was broken into.
The House spokesman said he was unable to figure out the mission of the intruder(s) in his office, adding that he has lodged complaint with the security apparatus in the green chamber.
His word: “We can’t pin it down, whether it was just breaking in for stealing or breaking in to spy on what the National Assembly is doing through my office. But whatever it is, I am sure the security agencies will get to the root of it. The National Assembly is no longer safe.”
