All the gates leading to sea ports across the country are presently under lock and key by the Nigerian Ports Authority Retirees who are protesting the failure of the authority to pay their pension and other entitlements.
The protesters who have the backings of the Nigerian Labour Congress and Maritime Workers have disrupted all activities in the ports. Places they presently occupied include Tin can Island Port, Roro Port, Wharf (all in Lagos), Lilypond in Ijora (also in Lagos), Calabar Port, Port Harcourt and that of Warri.
