An Army Corporal, Abayomi Edun, has killed his superior, Brigadier General Audu James in the barrack.
The incident happened late Tuesday at the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre, Oshodi, Lagos where both lived.
The deceased, until his sad end, was the centre’s Director of Finance. His killing, was as a result of Edun’s reckless driving under the influence of alcohol around 10.30pm.
The drunken Corporal was behind the wheels, and rammed into General James with the car, eventually resulting into the Senior Officer’s death from injuries he sustained.
Report further has it that Corporal Edun has been arrested, and in custody. It is cast in stone that he would face prosecution for either manslaughter or murder.
