President Muhammadu Buhari has extended the tenure of the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, by three months.
Adamu’s tenure ended on Monday.
However, after a meeting with President Buhari, Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Dingyadi, told State House Correspondents that he would remain in the saddle for the next three months.
Dingyadi said the decision was to allow for proper selection of a successor.
