A cable thief has died of electrocution at Isale-Agbede in the Lagos Island area.
The male thief died in an attempt to steal a cable from a transformer in the area.
The video of the scene has gone viral on Friday. In it, he was seen trapped between two transformers while about three long cables were on the spot.
It was believed the incident happened few days back and have been drawing comments online with a tweep who posted the video tweeting, “The guy here tried to steal a cable from a transformer panel but unfortunately ‘NEPA’ restored light and he was electrocuted. It happened somewhere around Lagos Island. Most people thought it was “NEPA’ officials that do come and steal them.’’
