Report says the embarrassing incident(file image) happened on Sunday after a missing phone was allegedly found in his possession and the news spread like a wild fire.
It was said that angry mob attacked Olorigbo, stripped the self-proclaimed chief naked and paraded him through the town.
The incident later got to the attention of the Apeju of Ilupeju-Ekiti, Oba Olaleye Oniyelu who ordered his palace guards to rescue him from the mob and handed him over to the police.
However, Oba Oniyelu denied knowledge of report that Olorigbo was stripped naked and paraded in a telephone interview with newsmen.
He said, “I don’t know whether he was paraded round the town but I will find out. He calls himself a chief and is a chief priest of a shrine. I learnt that adherents of the deity said he will be removed.”
