Fr Chinedu Nwadike, the Deputy Registrar of Spiritan University, Nneochi, has been kidnapped alongside a seminarian, Emmanuel Nwafor.
The pair were abducted on Friday along the Enugu-Okigwe Road, a walking distance to a military checkpoint.
As for Nwadike, this was his second time of having encounter with kidnappers. The other time, kidnap attempt made on him was futile with gunshots fired at his direction.
This time, the priest was not two-time lucky.
The gunmen abducted him and Nwafor on their way to Enugu State around Umunnochi axis and two days later the abductors contacted their victim families demanding N50m in ransom, sources said.
