The 24-year-old suspect, who according to Lagos State Police Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni, would be prosecuted for murder made this claim at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, where he is in detention.
Admitting to murder in the presence of newsmen on Monday, he said, “I was living happily in the UK but my parents used juju to lure me back to Nigeria and locked me up in the house.
“They invited some native doctors to the house to perform rituals in my room and kept red oil there.
“The native doctors made some incisions on my body and since then, I have not really been myself and I have been seeing strange things and hearing strange voices.
“Each time I tried to escape from the house, my father would call miscreants to beat me up. One day, I escaped from my room to the kitchen where i took two kitchen knives, hid them in my pocket for protection.
“On Sunday, December 4 when the incident happened i went into the kitchen and saw my mummy cooking. She started abusing him and left her and went to my father. He was equally angry with me and tried to beat me. A fight ensued between us and i used the knives in my pocket to stab him. I stabbed my mother who was with the key to the door when she refused to open the door for me.”
