Actor, Desmond Eliot emerged as the only show-biz personality to win the All Progressive Congress’ ticket for States House of Assemblies held on Tuesday.
Desmond Eliot who contested the primary for Surulere Constituency I in Lagos defeated the incumbent, Kabir Lawal.
However, Dayo “D1″ Adeneye, lost out to Ogun state Governor Ibikunle Amosu’s ex-Special Adviser on Education for the Odogbolu House of Assembly ticket. His partner at Kennis Music, Kenny Ogungbe’s sister, gospel singer, Kenny Saint Best was also defeated by the son of APC chieftain and National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed, Folarin Mohammed in Ikeja 01 Constituency.
Reports also have it that artistes, Abolore Adigun better known as 9ice and Tony Tetuila were roundly defeated in Ogbomoso in Oyo State and Irepodun in Kwara State respectively.
