The Kaduna Electric Distribution Company reportedly disconnected electricity supply to the house of late former President, Alhaji Shehu Shagari, over unpaid bills estimated to be over N6m.
The occupants of the house located at Sama Road, in Sokoto State including the widows and relatives of the deceased Second Republic President were made to be without light for hours last Wednesday.
It was said that power was restored to the residence upon intervention of a person of means, who promised to defray the debt.
The federal government is said to be responsible for the welfare of the ex-president before his demise but shirked the responsibility while the Sokoto state government used to step into the breach.
