Doctor found dead in Edo Hotel

A medical doctor, Dr Osasogie Ogbeide, has been found dead in a hotel in Edo State with controversy surrounding his death.

Ogbeide was in the employ of University of Benin Teaching Hospital, UBTH, in the Radiology Department of the hospital.

To some familiar with Ogbeide’s death he was murdered after being kidnapped in the front of UBTH. However, the police are not suspecting foul play from the prism of abduction.

Rather, they are investigating suicide or suffocation. It was said that the deceased checked to the unnamed hotel on Saturday and received no visitors.

The hotel workers however, became curious as he was incommunicado or sighted by any of them prompting them to force their way into the room on Sunday, and found him dead with a bottle soft drink in the room.
