The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of “B” Division, Warri Area Command, CSP Eyoh Aniete, has been accused of being behind the death of Mr. Nelson Akporido Sini, who died in police custody.

Making the allegation is the family of the deceased in a petition to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Idris, the Police Service Commission and the Acting Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).
The bereaved family, who are alleging murder are demanding for the arrest and prosecution of CSP Aniete saying he masterminded the killing of their 36-year-old son.
However, DPO Aniete has denied the allegation when his attention was drawn to the petition.
He said Late Sini was arrested with two other suspects over alleged robbery, and was shot in the leg when he attempted to bolt away.
