The Divisional Police Officer of Ijede Police Station around Ikorodu area of Lagos State, Nwaoha Uzoma was found dead in his office on Christmas day.
Uzoma(pictured) who graduated from University of Calabar in 1997 was a Superintendent of Police. He was formerly the DPO of Anthony Police Division and was posted to Ijede on December 5, only to die about three weeks after his redeployment.
OrijoReporter gathered the deceased who lived at Amuwo slept in his office on Christmas eve, and was found dead the following day after the door to his office was forced open.
Sources said that his failure to answer his phone on several rings drew suspicion.
“Officers had to use force to open the door and he was found stone-dead,” OrijoReporter was told.
