Easter: FG declares Friday, Monday, Public Holidays

The Federal Government has declared Friday, April 19 and Monday, April 22, Public Holidays to mark the 2019 Easter celebration.

The Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau(Rtd) announced this via a statement Mrs Georgina Ehuriah, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior,  released on Wednesday in Abuja.

Dambazau on behalf of the federal government wished Nigerian Christians happy Easter in advance enjoining them to emulate the exemplary attributes of Jesus Christ including tolerance, love and peaceful co-existence.
He asked that the occasion be used to pray for the country’s peaceful co-existence while calling on the religion faithful to support the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari’s policies.
