Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Sen. Bala Mohammed, has ordered the suspension of six members of staff of the ministry for alleged fraudulent practices.
A statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the minister, Mr Muhammad Sule, said four of them were work at the Abuja Geographic Information Systems (AGIS), while others are workers at the Land Administration Department.
The statement said the minister had warned that his administration would not spare any member of staff involved in any act of fraud.
“There is no sacred cow as this suspension is meant to serve as a deterrent to others,” the statement quoted Bala as saying.
The suspended staff members of the AGIS are Oluwadamilola Adetiloye, Planning Officer I, Wasiu Olajide – Programme Officer I; Mohammed Saba – Land Officer I and Danladi Daniel – Clerical Officer.
Other are, Yusuf Baba, Land Officer I and Blessing Nwiyi, Assistant Executive Officer were also suspended from the Land Administration Department.
Although no specific fraudulent act was ascribed to the workers in the statement, sources at the minister’s office said it was related to land racketeering.
