Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has drawn similarity between the state of affairs in the political life of former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara and a dog.
The duo have been locked in a bitter feud that became public as a result of Dogara’s defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, where they were together.
The former Speaker attributed his defection to Mohammed’s alleged maladministration and corruption.
The governor in a reprisal statement he made when his supporters from the Dass, Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro local government areas, where Dogara represents, paid him a solidarity visit at the Government House, Bauchi, on Tuesday, hit back at the ex-Speaker.
Mohammed said Dogara is a political paper-weight, who he allegedly defeated roundly in several elections and went on to liken the situation the fourteenth-Speaker of the green chamber found himself politically to that of a dog.
His word, “He is just talking because if you see a dog running, it is either it is running to get something or something is chasing it. We pity him because he has become an epidemic in politics, but we, in our capacity as brothers, especially we the elders, he has become a disgrace.”
