The Edo State Government on Thursday ordered probe into the harsh treatment meted out to suspected cultist Kesta Gozie by the state police command.

A video had emerged on the net in which the suspect is seen handcuffed to the back of a police van and dragged as the vehicle moved from Sokponba Road to First East Circular Junction.

Dissociating itself from the ill-treatment meted out to Gozie, the state government in a statement from the Office of the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Barr. Osarodion Ogie, said that those involved in the act would be brought to book.

Ogie added that the state government denounced participation in the act and restated its commitment to ensuring civil and lawful behaviour.
