Gov Umahi blamed for monarch’s daughter’s killing by police


The killing of one Elizabeth Agwu, daughter of Eze Agwu Nwaukpa, a traditional ruler in Onicha local council of Ebonyi, allegedly by a trigger-happy policeman has been blamed on Gov. Dave Uumahi.

Elizabeth was victim of a stray bullet in front of her father’s compound where she was hit by a bullet fired allegedly fired by a cop during a patrol of a team of police officers on Friday.

The killing of the 25-year-old is being put at the doorsteps of Umahi in some quarters with a Facebook user, Emeka Gift Official in a post accompanied by picture of the deceased’s remains saying, “This is one of the person that was shot yesterday on the account of shoot at sight order that Dave Umahia gave to Felix Igboke Ogbonnaya the executive chairman of Onicha-Igboeze and Igwe-agwu Nwaukpa the Ezeukwu development center coordinator. She later died after she was being rushed to the hospital, her name is Elizabeth Agwu, from Onicha-Igboeze local government area of Ebonyi state.”

Continued: “Ironically, the 25 years old lady is biological sister to Igwe Agwu Nwaukpa (children of his royal Highness, Eze Agwu Nwaukpa) The Oshimiri 1 of Onicha Igboeze autonomous community.”
