Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State on Wednesday escaped death from attack by suspected Boko Haram members.
Zulum’s convoy was attacked by the marauding terrorists on his way back to Maiduguri from Baga where he had gone to distribute food items to internally displaced persons (IDPs).
An aide of the governor, Mohammed Mai Bukar confirmed the attack and allayed fear of anything untoward happened to his principal in a Facebook post.
Bukar wrote: “To our concerned citizens, H.E Prof. Zulum and his entourage are all fine and there were no casualties.”
