Nigeria’s First Lady, Hajia Aisha Buhari and her five children are currently in Saudi Arabia to perform the lesser hajj(Umrah).
Hajia Buhari and her children left Nigeria’s shore early in the week in a commercial flight, Emirate Airline, and were received by officials of the Nigerian embassy at the King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah.
Sources told OrijoReporter that the embassy also provided the Nigeria’s first family with a two-bedroom flat where they are presently staying.
Umrah is a pilgrimage to Mecca, and can be undertaken at any time of the year. Privileged Muslims faithful use the period to offer prayers before the end of Ramadan, which is expected to come to an end by June 16 or 17 subject to sighting of the new moon Shawl in the Islamic calendar.
