A woman who was employed by a couple as a housemaid in Lagos State has absconded with three children of her bosses, a day after she resumed work.
The couple, Mr. Leke and Mrs. Bisi Orekoya who live at Surulere had on Sunday, April 5, 2015 advertised for a housemaid on popular internet based market platform, OLX after their nanny went AWOL. And their advert was responded to by a woman who claimed to be an OND Holder in need of a job.
Sources close to the Orekoyas told OrijoReporter that she made them believed she was from Oyo State, and that she was 23-year old and her relatives lived at Ikorodu.
The couple also spoke with her purported relatives on phone.
However, her claims, which were accepted by the Orekoyas turned out to be false the following day after she absconded with three of the couple’s four children, Aderomola, (11 months), Adedamola (4 years) and 6-year-old Demola(all pictured).
On Sunday, mother of the missing children, Mrs. Bisi Orekoya(pictured right) who owns a boutique, Busbis Lifestyle’s Hour at Lawson Shopping Complex, had hoped for great days ahead. This was evidenced by the message she posted on her facebook account.
She said, “May this Easter usher you into a new beginning that brings Joy, Happiness, Prosperity, Hope, Peace, lots of Love and Joyful Living today and always. Happy Easter!!!From us at Busbis Lifestyle Enterprises. Introducing arrival of new Swiss Atiku Voile as well as colourful Swiss Dry and Swiss Voile Lace fabrics.”
However, less than twenty-four after she was in good mood, the housemaid who gave her name as Mary Akinloye has thrown the University of Lagos graduate into disillusionment.
About four hours ago, she dismissed speculation that the children had been found at Shagamu, an outskirt of Ogun State on her facebook account.
She said, “Have not seen them o..that shagamu story is a lie pls help ooo.”
