To recap, Buhari in his first term appointed Mrs. Kemi Adeosun as Finance minister and following her resignation on account of forging the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC exemption certificate, the president replaced her with another lady in the person of Mrs. Zainab Ahmed, who he reappointed to superintend the same ministry.

Some ministries and agencies relating to Finance, Budget and National Planning  under Buhari are also headed by women, a trend, he gloated about in a meeting on Thursday at the Villa.

His word, “I am happy that I can defend myself very effectively on this issue. The APC leader is my witness. Since the coming into power of this administration, I have handed over the treasury to women.

“Even at household level, you hand over the money to women to manage. It can be taken to the level of managing the country’s treasury as well. I have consistently given it to women. It is strategic.”
