Lagos Serial Fake Lover arrested after Robbing Over 30 Women

One Ifeanyi Ezenagu, who preys on love-seeking women has been arrested in Lagos for robbing his victims of various sums and personal belongings.  

Ezenagu, the police said, is in the habit of disposing her victims, at the last count over 30 of them of their belongings.

The 34-year-old would reportedly assume the manner of a genuine lover to lure innocent women to hotels where he drugged them and when they were in a state of slumber abscond with their personal effects. 

His bubble, the report stated, burst when he robbed six women at various times, after putting substances in their drinks and made away with three iPhones 12, two iPhones 11 Pro Max, one iPhone XR, one Nokia phone, one wristwatch and one gold necklace, with a total value of N2,368,000.

In a statement titled: “Blind Date: Police Arrest Serial Thief,” the command’s spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said of the fake-thieving lover, “Preliminary investigations reveal that the suspect has no fixed address but lures women to different hotels where he drugs and robs them clean. Investigations further revealed that he has robbed over thirty women since he ventured into this crime. 

“While the stolen items have all been recovered before he could dispose of them, investigation is on to apprehend receivers of stolen items he works with. Suspects will be arraigned at the end of investigation. 

“The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Abiodun Alabi, assures all residents of Lagos that the command will continue to work towards the decimation of crime and criminality in the Centre of Excellence. He equally enjoins Nigerians to be vigilant and report any suspicious happening to security agencies.”
