The suspect identified as Victor Adule was arrested last weekend in the middle of his plot to dupe the provost of the state College of Education in Oju, Mr Godwin Oga.

Adule posing as Mike, Gov. Ortom’s brother, had approached Oga for financial assistance and following persistent phone calls, the provost directed the college Public Relations Officer, (PRO), Mr Ada Brown, to visit ‘Mr Mike Ortom’ for physical confirmation.

It turned out that it was a 419 scam.

Subsequently, Adule walked right into a trap set by the governor’s younger’s brother, the PRO and the provost after he turned up to collect the ‘money’ and was arrested.
