Kogi Governor, Yahaya Bello, has banned the wearing of face masks and shut all brothels harbouring prostitutes in the state.
Bello gave the order on security reason on Tuesday in Lokoja at a meeting with traditional rulers and local government chairmen in the state.
It is coming on the heels of last Saturday’s killing of some security agents in Ajaokuta area of the state.
The governor also urged the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Local Government Chairmen, union leaders, and security agencies to meet with tricycle and motorcycle riders for proper documentation.
“Let me sound a note of warnings to all politicians irrespective of political persuasions to desist from anything that could disrupt the peace we are currently enjoying in the state,” he added.
