Group Managing Director of Energy Group, Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR, has predicted that churches will this year roll in money following the wealth that would be created through sectors such as agriculture.
Ibrahim made this prediction while analyzing the economic and socio-political state of Nigeria as affected by both local and international affairs in the last few years in National Mirror, a print media owned by him.
Speaking on the possibility of increase in the fortunes of churches, he predicted that offerings would increase by 7% in developing countries like Nigeria and by that, more wealth would be created.
He said, “With more wealth created, there are chances of thanksgiving from which the churches would benefit. “Offering and tithes will give the church more money in 2015.
“It is also expected that the church will cover every investment made in special services in the year under review. The warning area is for the church to be more proactive in investment decisions in the year under review.”
