Popular choreographer Kaffy Shafau-Ameh says she and her siblings could have been wayward given the pitiable condition they grew up under, adding that she is searching for a Mallam, who used to sell garri to her family in credit.

The award winning dancer, who lost her mother sometime in March 2015, in an interview she granted Punch, recalled the hard times she faced with her siblings when growing up, adding that the whole trouble started when her father and mother divorced.
“We were in such a bad state that we were drinking garri for seven months consecutively without any break and at a point, we owed the Mallam that was selling it for us. I am still looking for him to pay him back,” Kaffy told the paper.
