All the contestants for the executive positions of the Kano State Working Committee (SWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will face mandatory drug test.
The congress is scheduled for October 16.
The development followed a directive the state government issued, according to a statement the state commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, released on Monday.
Garba said the all the contestants have been mandated to visit the state office of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for drug tests, adding that the exercise was part of the government’s clampdown on usage of illicit substances.
