The suspension was contained in a statement the state Head of Service, Alhaji Muhammad Na’iya signed and released to newsmen in Kano on Tuesday.

Na’iya said the government has handed over the suspended workers to the police for investigation.

He said among them are nine local government employees, who were scheduled officers under the platform of REMITA, and four employees of the Kano State Pension Funds Trustee, including two top members of Kano Pension Union.

“Any violation of due process, contravening the government’s quest against corruption would not go unpunished,” Na’iya declared.
