Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello has been told to run for the 2023 presidency by the State House of Assembly.
The House made the call in a motion moved by the Majority Leader, Hassan Abdullahi and passed at Wednesday’s plenary in Lokoja.
The lawmakers were effusive about Bello’s performance in the state saddle adding he is allegedly a good fit for the country’s president.
“We have made our case. Nigerians are very reasonable. Kogi is selfless to offer our God-given Governor to Nigeria,” the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Matthew Kolawole, told newsmen.
