A player of Kwara United, Saka Azeez, on Friday, during a training session of the club at Kwara State Stadium Complex slumped to death throwing his family into mourning mood.
But earlier on Thursday, the Azeezs were in good mood as the late player’s father. former African and Commonwealth Table Tennis Champion, Kasali Lasisi, was one of the eminent Kwarans honoured by Kwara State Government as the state marked its 50th anniversary.

The spokesman of the Nigerian National League club, Abdulwaheed Bibire, in a statement to confirm the development, said Saka slumped in training and was rushed to the State General Hospital where he was confirmed dead.
The 24-year-old played left back, and featured once in all the competitive matches involving the club this season.
According to the club’s coach, John Obuh, Late Saka slumped unchallenged, adding that attempts made to revive him proved futile.
