Soldier who asked colleagues not to shoot EndSARs protesters arrested

The Nigerian Army said it has uncovered the hooded soldier in a viral video, who pleaded to his colleagues not to attack #EndSARS protesters as Lance Corporal Harrison Friday.

The soldier wore a mask in the video uploaded last week where he urged his colleagues to avoid shooting protesting youths explaining that the protest is all about a better Nigeria that would favour every Nigerian including the military, adding that the soldiers must not allow themselves to be used by the government.

“The fight the civilians are fighting is our fight, do not let them use us,” he said.

His employer announced his identity and arrest over alleged cyber-crime  via its tweet handle, @HQNigerianArmy, “The hooded soldier hiding behind the mask to commit cybercrimes has been apprehended in the ongoing cyber operations in support of crocodile smile. Rest assured cybercriminals have no hiding place.”
