Moshood Owolabi, a 200 level student of Lead City University, Ibadan, who in January, 2014, stabbed another student, Seun Kolawole, to death was on Wednesday sentenced to death by hanging.

Owolabi then in Physical and Health Education Department of Lead City University had on January 12, 2014, at toll-gate area in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital caused
Kolawole’s death when he stabbed him in the neck with a broken bottle.
Justice Adegboye Gbolagunte of an Ibadan High Court on Wednesday sentenced him to death by hanging.
Gbolagunte while delivering judgement said that it was proved beyond reasonable doubt by the counsel prosecuting the case, Mr. A. Olawale, a Deputy Director in the Oyo State Ministry of Justice that Owolabi committed murder as charged.
He ruled that the accused should be sentenced to death by hanging to serve as deterrent to others.
