A local government chairman in Edo State, Barrister Hassan Kadiri(pictured) has died about twenty-four hours after some hired thugs invaded the secretariat of Etsako West Local Government clamouring for his removal.
Barrister Kadiri who was sick for long had been unavoidably absent at work. And Thursday last week, some thugs who were believed to have been hired by powerful elements in the council stormed the secretariat in a bus belonging to Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, to demand for the LG boss’ removal.
However, on Friday evening, fate decided the course of event when the 54-year-old died in the evening at a hospital in the state capital after a prolonged illness.
