A private with the Nigerian Army has killed his senior colleague, Lieutenant Babakaka Shehu Ngorgi, who recently got married.
Late Ngorgi and his killer whose identity is yet to be made public were serving at the 202 Battalion of 21 Special Armoured Brigade Bama, Borno State.

The unnamed soldier’s salary account was reportedly frozen since eight months ago after he went AWOL for six months.
On return about two months ago, he was said to be pestering Ngorgi to allow him travel in order to sort himself out with the Army authorities but his request was not granted.
Consequently, the beast in the killer soldier got the better of him on Wednesday and in savage mode fired gunshots at Ngorgi who stood in front of the unit headquarters making a phone-call.
“The remains of the deceased officer have been evacuated to 7 Division Medical Services and Hospital.
“Investigation into the case has since been instituted to determine the circumstances that led to the unfortunate incident,” a statement released by the acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Musa Sagir, on the sad incident read in part.
