Oyo Governor Seyi Makinde and Aare Onakankafo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, on Thursday held a meeting over the spate of insecurity in the state.
The meeting was held behind closed doors at the Oyo Government House, Ibadan and lasted for about one and half hours.
Speaking after the meeting, Adams who was coy about the details of it, said, “The outcome of the meeting is not something that I can divulge in the media. But I can assure you that we have a fruitful meeting.”
On arraignment of some members of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), who apprehended the suspected Fulani warlord terrorising the Ibarapa region, Iskilu Wakili, the OPC leader said the move was targeted to demoralise the boys.
“They did that deliberately to send cold shivers down our spines. But we shall not be discouraged.
“We believe that it is one of the sacrifices they have to make for the Yoruba zone because we do not have a nation yet. We will continue to do what we can.”
